Welcome UCLA Employees August 2010

UCLA State Public Sector Discount CL Program (Under UCLA Federal Tax ID)

Dr Wireless subscribers Save 22% per month off Sprint's Regular Monthly Rates

Dr Wireless has partnered with the State of California and Sprint's Public Sector Healthcare/Education Division to offer the best deals and support in the wireless industry. If your line is used for business and under the UCLA Federal Tax ID, have we got a deal for you! How about a monthly discount of 22%, no early termination fees, no activation fees, and instant rebates opposed to annoying Mail-In rebates. Sprint directly ships and bills for all wireless devices on your monthly bill. In addition to all of the above, Sprint shows their appreciation by adding an additional $50 "Welcome" credit per new line on top of all the other device discounts. Upgrade pricing is the same as new activation pricing, less the $50 welcome credit. Defective devices are replaced by mail and shipped for FREE. Ask for details!

New Samsung EPIC 4G Galaxy S Series Touch with Android 2.2 OS
This model is the 2nd 4G SmartPhone offered by Sprint. It is the very first one to feature Samsung's latest Super AMOLED display technology. It also features a slide out full size qwerty key pad for those who want more than the virtual style found on the EVO and other Touch Screen models. This model has a 5mp camera and a blazing fast 1Ghz processor. The Samsung EPIC is officially released on August 31st. We are taking pre-orders now and will ship after the Labor day weekend. MSRP $499.99. Price with 2 year plan is $249.99.

iPhone killer is here!

New Sprint HTC EVO 4G WiMAX SmartPhone with Android 2.2 OS
Just as the iPhone raised the bar on PDA's several years ago, this device is now doing the same. Qualcomm's blazing fast 1GHZ Qualcomm SnapDragon processor coupled now with Google's latest 2.2 Android upgrade is what the EVO is all about. Oh, did I forget to mention that it also works on Sprint's new 4G network, now in 36 major markets. The EVO also boasts an 8mp camera that will shoot stills and HD video and supports Adobe Flash. It also includes a second camera on the front for video conferencing. If that wasn't enough, how about a 4.3" HD screen and a built-in 4G router that will support up to 8 multiple connections at the same time. Of course, it will cost an extra $30 per month for the built-in router feature but well worth it since unlimited 3G data, let alone 4G, is not even available from most carriers these days. Ask me for a demonstration. Now $199.99 with 2 year plans.

New Sprint Sierra Wireless 250U 4G USB Air Card with Rounded Design
The Sprint 3G/4G Dual Mode Sierra 250U wireless modem connects to your laptop, netbook, or PC via rotating USB, so you can make the most of any tight spot. Imagine how productive you'll be, accessing the Internet at up to 4G speeds. Check email, participate in web conferences, download massive presentations - all from wherever your mobile office takes you. Whether you're at the park, the doctor's office, or the airport, you can get connected fast. It gets even better - Plug the 250U into one of our wireless routers and you have instantly created your very own privately secured Wifi Mobile Hotspot. This product also supports Sprint's 3G network. Free on 2 year data plans.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 Global SmartPhone is now available
Finally! This is basically similar to Sprint's 9630 Tour with several upgrades. First, RIM replaced the track ball with their new optical trackpad. They also added wifi to this model. Like the original BB Tour 9630, this model works all over the world including Japan and Korea. I am often asked since RIM makes the same model, for both Verizon and Sprint, is there any difference? They are nearly identical with the exception of some proprietary software each carrier uses. Also, while Verizon "locks" all their world phones down with their over- seas partner, Vodafone, Sprint's devices are all unlocked on the GSM bands. This means it is also possible to buy a prepaid SIM overseas and use it for calls. We have this model available for only $199.99* with 2 year plans.

New Sierra Wireless 4G WiMAX Overdrive Router is Here
Accelerate at high speed with the first dual-mode shareable device of its kind-available only from Sprint. Now you can extend your 3G and 4G (4G Network available in select cities) experience beyond your laptop to any Wi-Fi-enabled device such as cameras, music players and portable game consoles. And because it supports up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices, you can share your high-speed connection with friends, family, co-workers and customers. 16 GB of shared storage and no software or activation to fuss with, the Overdrive is a must have for work or play, home or away. The Overdrive also supports GPS Navigation and supports multiple connections simultaneously within 150 feet. We are offering this product today for $99.99 with 3G service. Later this summer when Sprint turns on 4G in LA, you'll be ready to blaze! Now $99.99*

UCLA Employee Liable (IL) Public Sector program

While the CL program is only available if your line is billed directly to UCLA, the IL program is available to any UCLA employee, and up to 5 family members. Sprint's offers a 20% monthly employee discount which is the largest of all the carriers. Employees will also get the device shipped directly but must provide us with a drivers license, social security number and valid credit card number. We have all the same models and pricing as Sprint does.
