                                  Communication Options in Paradise

For those of you who must stay in contact with your business associates, family and friends 24/7, no worries! The US cellular carriers have roaming agreements and work great down here. Several even offer totally FREE Voice and Data along with long distance toll calling. Don't expect the same blazing 4G LTE cellular speeds we get in the USA, but everything works fine. Corky's longtime regulars will remember the painful snail-slow limited satellite internet access. Well, today, Corky's casa is one of very few that have Unlimited MegaCable Fiber Optic Wifi Internet for guests. I put this page together to help Surf Adventure guests to be prepared for the time of their lives. This is definitely the safest, easiest, and least stressful way to go on a surf trip as nearly everything is included. You don't even need to bring boards as Corky provides shortboards, longboards, and even SUPs. Here's your chance to try something different! 

1) Telephones - Bring your cellular phone!
We use cellular phones down here for everything. You may need to be near a window, or on our porch for the strongest cell signal, but US carriers do have service down here. All iPhones with Apple's iOS 10.3 or later, regardless of US carrier, now even have the ability to make (and receive) totally FREE phone calls over our internet connection, back to the US over wifi. The cool thing about this wifi voIP dialing option is you don't even need to have any cellular coverage or roaming plans because you are calling over our internet connection. With all iPhones, go to Settings>Scroll down to Phone> and be sure to turn on wifi calling. As of May 2017, every current T-Mobile plan includes FREE unlimited long distance calling to Mexico as well as FREE Roaming while using your Phone down here. Verizon also offers this FREE on all Unlimited data plans and their XL and above plans as well. It's $5 per month for their regular plans. This is FREE on AT&T's10GB and higher plans too, otherwise $5 per month, per line. With Sprint, if you are on their Open World Plan (Unlimited FREEDOM Plan) this is FREE. Otherwise, they charge $5 per month, per line.  

2) Bring your own computer, or iPad too
We don't have any guest computers. When you arrive, we will enable wifi internet service on your iPad, Laptop, and/or SmartPhone.  Fiber Internet connectivity is brand new to our area and faster than the satellite internet many resorts still rely on. If you're lucky, Corky's neighbor, Debbie Day may be in town and if she is, she'll likely capture your best rides on video. If not, Corky's beautiful wife Raquel is a trained photographer and can put together an optional photo shoot. 

3) There are a couple of great optional activities too. While nearly everything is included in this amazing surf adventure, even surf instruction, if you want it, there are several really cool things to do that are optional, but well worth considering. These include PANGA boat trips North to "the Ranch" for surfing and/or fishing. Horseback riding, Zumba, and shopping in Zihuatanejo are also lots of fun. I almost forgot to mention onsite massages which after a couple of long surf sessions will have you ready for the next day of surfing. Btw... Drink lots of fluids down there. It's the tropics! Hot tip....Ask Javier for fresh coconuts. He'll serve you the best coconut water and meat you will ever eat, every day!
