In case you have not heard, The company that plucked Solavei out of bankruptcy had a major last minute change in their business strategy that apparently did not include Solavei. Ryan Wuerch, the Solavei CEO was not happy but had no alternatives. All Solavei users must move their numbers by Dec 4th, or lose them. There are several ways this can be done. For those who are fine with Solavei's pre-paid service, T-Mobile has made a special offer as seen below...
A special offer for Solavei customers! Make the switch to Simply Prepaid from . Get ready for T-Mobile monthly prepaid plans that offer great value and feature 4G LTE data. Unlimited talk and text plans featuring 4G LTE data start at just $40 per month. You’ll receive your first month of service FREE along with a $10 credit each month until June 2016.* All Solavei customers will receive a FREE SIM in the mail. NO action required. Call 1-844-275-9294 by December 4, 2015 to port-in your number and get the special offer. Eligible customers must port-in from Solavei by December 4, 2015, activate & continuously remain on qualifying prepaid plan through 6/2016. For anyone interested in getting T-Mobile's best deals, it involves going on their Postpaid plans which I can facilitate directly. One of the biggest benefits to buying Apple iPhones is, as the industry standard, they have more 3rd party accessory manufacturers. Since the shelf life of iPhone models is much longer than that of accessories, there are some amazing deals to be had if you know where to look.
My wife purchased a Mophie Helium Charging Case for her iPhone 5s for only $14.99 at TJ Max last night. There sold for $100 when they were introduced and are a wonderful way to bring your iPhone 5 series back to life with style. I almost bought a LifeProof "FRE" for my iPhone 5s a while back from Marshalls. It was only $14.99 at the time while selling online for $79.99. I ended up passing as it was only available in hot pink color but, a deal is a deal. Next time you check out at Ross or Marshalls, check out their name brand Apple accessory deals for inexpensive holiday gift ideas. After twenty years with the same website, we have finally done a facelift to our website. Please check it out at www.drwireless.com. There are a few tweaks and link repairs still needed but it is up and operational.
While we still do activations and upgrades, consulting, Time Warner solutions and Global Star Satellite solutions have been recently added to our line card. If you have any comments or suggestions in terms of web design, please let us know. Unfortunately, Solavei and it's new partner have had a "difference of opinion" and the end result will be the shutdown of the Solavei mobile network. Effective December 4th at 5:00pm PT all Solavei Mobile Service will cease for our members. T-Mobile will be sending out new SIM cards today and will be providing one month of mobile service along with $10 off any prepaid plan for six months for those who want to use their network. Alternatively, I can move your Solavei number to a T-Mobile plan. While some of the T-Mobile plans may cost a fraction more, they add features like FREE Global data and text roaming, voIP wifi dialing and some other goodies. Please contact me for further options & details.
While many analysts are claiming that T-Mobile "gave away the store" and will not be able to maintain enough bandwidth, I beg to differ. John Legere, TM's CEO is sly like a fox. Anything that he can do to make "Dumb and Dumber" squirm, he takes great relish in.
Uncarrier 10, like many of it's predecessor initiatives, is likely to cause a few sleepless nights for the other carrier CEOs. Anyone who streams content is usually given a choice to choose speeds. When it doesn't cost any more, wireless users naturally choose the fastest streaming speed possible (4k, 1080p, or 720p). By offering all of this content for FREE...if streamed at 480P, TM just gave their users a great argument to chose the slower 480p speed, versus faster speeds. I think it was a brilliant move on T-Mobile's part for the following reasons : -Network Bandwidth Management. TM found a brilliant way to make sure their users stay at 480P speeds. -T-Mobile stole the thunder with this offering that nobody noticed they raised their Unlimited plan by 50%. -T-Mobile even included AT&T and Verizon's streaming service as FREE to tick them off even more. -T-Mobile doubled their data allocation buckets which took some sting off raising prices on the higher plans Those networks that don't throttle speeds but charge overage fees for excess data usage are licking their chops with all of the new video streaming options that are popping up. Apple gives 4K video recording on their newest iPhones. You can bet the carriers charging excess data overage fees will likely do something to promote the "amazing video quality" these devices now offer. T-Mobile just launched their newest "Uncarrier 10 Initiative". They are doing what they did for "Music Freedom". There are about 2 dozen streaming video providers that T-Mobile will be allowing to stream videos without counting against your data allocation. About the only two providers that I can see that were not included were FaceBook's videos and YouTube. It will require being on a new TM "Simple Choice Amped" plan with minimum of 3GB of data. The other positive development is T-Mobile doubled the amount of data they offer on most plans. On their $50 basic 1GB plan, that now offers 2GB. Their 3GB plan just doubled to 6GB but went up in price to $65 per month. Their 5GB plan is now 10GB but also increased from $70 to $80 per month. Not surprisingly, T-Mobile quietly increased the cost of their Unlimited plan from $80 to $95 per month. The only consolation was previously, they only offered 7GB of Personal Hotspot service. With the newer $95 Unlimited Data Plan, users will now get 14GB of personal Hotspot service which means no longer having to rely on non-secure public wifi networks. November News...
Dr Wireless is a Globalstar Satellite Phone/Service Authorized dealer. GlobalStar has been around for a long time but had to wait four years for their latest 2-way wireless technology to be deployed. Recently, two satellites were deployed and we are glad to announce one of our favorite disaster preparedness solutions is back and better than ever. Satellite Phone devices have come down in price and are even FREE with several plans at the $69.99 per month level and higher. If your company is looking for a great backup solution, this is one of our best. Satellite service is also popular for those who go off the grid but cannot afford to lose contact with the real world. Dr Wireless is also a Time Warner Business Class Specialist. Our territory is anywhere in the US that Time Warner has service. The advantage of working with our channel is being able to call either TW directly, or Dr Wireless when support is needed. If your office needs high speed internet, a phone system and or cable TV, please try us. T-Mobile offers much that you will never hear about elsewhere. Did you know?…. -Any T-Mobile subscriber Smartphone subscriber who owns a tablet can get a FREE 200MB of data without subscribing to anything or paying more. -Any one who buys additional data from T-Mobile gets to stash (keep) what they don’t use. TM will even give a FREE 10GB at startup. -T-Mobile does not count your data usage towards streaming music as the other carriers. -T-Mobile’s “Jump” early upgrade program is only $10 and does already include the insurance plan if device is lost or stolen. Apple’s iOS 9 “Black Screen of Death” can easily be cured. If your device just goes off like the battery is dead and you know it isn’t, try this. Hold down the power and the SIRI (Home) button for about 20 seconds. Your device should come back alive. We have been getting many reports of this problem and hope Apple is working on a software patch/upgrade. Ad Donald Trump would say, this is going to be Huge! The nation’s third-largest wireless carrier is looking to gain competitive advantage over rivals Sprint, AT&T and Verizon by giving its customers the ability to stream videos on their smartphones and tablets without generating data charges. Subscribers can choose among popular streaming services including Netflix, HBO Now, HBO Go, Watch ESPN, Fox Sports and Hulu. Notable omissions from the list include YouTube, the world’s biggest video site, and Facebook and Snapchat, both of which have made big pushes into video in the last year. “Video streams free,” T-Mobile CEO John Legere said Tuesday. “Binge on. Start watching your shows, stop watching your data.” Legere’s offer applies to customers who pay for at least 3 GB of data a month. |
