I'm not sure why, but all of a sudden, T-Mobile has become "Carrier-Like" and no longer very transparent, like the "Un-Carrier" campaign of last year. I guess when you catch up to the 800lb gorillas, you start emulating them. The above advertisement on the surface would appear to be a great deal. What is mentioned in the last sentence I find very troubling though. That's because, the T-Mobile One Plan they are offering may/ or may not be the same one you are on right now. If you are currently on TM's amazing 2 Line/$100 Unlimited deal, their 55+ plan, or were lucky enough to get in when TM was offering the FREE Plus offering (1080P resolution and 10GB of 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot), you forfeit all of this. That's right, the One plan being offered above with the FREE Netflix deal is Standard definition (480p) with snail slow 3G tethering, not 4G LTE.
This is the exact reason that Dr Wireless created our Robin Hood program. Like in a high stakes poker game, you need to know when to hold them and when to fold them. In this case, savvy Dr Wireless clients are holding their plans. It's far smarter to pay $10 to add Netflix to your current plan than let T-Mobile slam the breaks on your resolution and Mobile Hotspot speeds.
